Opening Remarks-Welcome Address
New York City – 10 Year Plan
A discussion and presentation from city officials and economists regarding New York City’s plan and growth. In this discussion, officials will explain the infrastructure projects, planning and rezoning of neighborhoods, municipal financing available and areas that will absorb the population increases over the next 10 years throughout the boroughs of New York City. We will also get a report on how the city is doing with attaining its goal of 200,000 affordable units built and preserved. Speakers will include officials from City Planning, HPD, HDC, NYCHA, EDC, and DOB and the Mayor’s Office.
New York is more than a City
New York City is a global force that crosses the municipal borders of the five boroughs. In this discussion, we have a holistic discussion of the growth in the NYC MSA, which will grow substantially over the next 10 years. We will dissect the many area businesses and industries that are expanding, attracting professionals, students, and entrepreneurs. Speakers will include Mayors from Newark, Jersey City, White Plains, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Federal and NYS Regional Directors.
